Placement Cell Activities

The Placement Cell at Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya is committed to enhancing the employability and career prospects of students by organizing training, guidance, and placement opportunities. Its key activities include:

1. Campus Recruitment Drives: Organizing on-campus and virtual recruitment drives in collaboration with reputed companies, NGOs, government agencies, and institutions. Facilitating interviews, group discussions, and selection processes for final-year students.
2. Career Counseling and Guidance: Providing expert guidance to students on career options, competitive exams, and higher studies. One-on-one mentorship and counseling sessions with faculty and external experts.
3. Soft Skills & Employability Training: Conducting workshops on resume writing, interview techniques, communication skills, and personality development. Organizing sessions on corporate etiquette, leadership skills, and time management.
4. Industry-Institute Interaction: Arranging guest lectures, seminars, and webinars by professionals from academia, industry, and public sectors. Promoting student-industry interface through industrial visits and internships.
5. Internship & Apprenticeship Opportunities: Facilitating internships with NGOs, government departments, and corporate organizations. Guiding students in applying for government internship portals like AICTE, TULIP, and others.
6. Alumni Engagement: Building a strong alumni network to support placement, training, and mentorship initiatives. Organizing alumni talks and interactive sessions with successful graduates.
7. Liaison with Government & Skill Development Bodies: Coordinating with NSDC, Skill India, and state/national employment schemes for placement and training support. Enabling registration of students on job and internship portals (e.g., NCS, Naukri, LinkedIn).
8. Data Management & Feedback: Maintaining placement records, employer feedback, and student performance tracking. Assessing training effectiveness and making continuous improvements
