General Guide Lines to Candidates Seeking Admission in the University
1. Admission
1.1 Admission to every diploma/degree programme shall be made at the commencement of the first semester/year of each academic session except for Research degrees. Registration for Ph.D. degree shall be made.
1.2 The application for admission to a diploma/degree programme shall be made in the prescribed form along with the application fee prescribed from time to time and it should be registered and submitted online on website www.mgcgv.mponline.gov.inon or before the last date fixed for the purpose. Each selected candidate shall require to its document verification at university admission cell and thereafter submit its fees.
2. Application form for admission
2.1 The prospectus for the advertised courses is available online on website of the MGCGV for session 2025-26 (excepting those conducted through MPESB, Bhopal).
2.2 Online application can be filled through MPONLINE Portal – https://mgcgv.mponline.gov.in/ link with prescribed application fees.
(i) Name of the applicant; (ii) Programme applied and (iii) Application form no.
3. Document verification to be appended with the application form
3.1 Photostat copies of 10th standard Certificates bearing date of birth, 12th/Graduation/ Post Graduation exammark sheets/Certificates.
3.2 Domicile certificate of MP, caste Certificate, Income certificate (Issued only by a SDM or Higher authorities).
3.3 Character certificate
3.4 Affidavit for the gap year in education.
Note: Original certificates must not be given with the application form.
4. Reservations, Concessions, Relaxations
4.1 Subject to the reservations, concessions, relaxations and weightage to be given to different categories of candidates for admission/re-admission in the University (which shall invariable he/she indicated in the M. P. Government Higher Education Department Ministry of Bhopal. Admission rules and regulation 2025-26 are strictly in order of merit reckoned on the basis of an Admission test/ Interview or in the manner decided by the University or MPESB and specifically mentioned in the advertisement.
4.2 All applications received in the university shall first be screened on the basis of merit, test and /or interview (as the case may be) conducted. An Admissions Committee, keeping in view the reservations/concessions for different categories in accordance with the rules in force at the time, shall make the final selections.
4.3 Application forms may be rejected on the following grounds.
(i) Online application form without fees submission,
(ii) Application forms without duly signed photos,
(iii) Application form without the applicant’s signature,
(iv) Application form of the candidates having non-recognized degrees.
5. Entrance admit card
Admit card shall be downloaded by candidate as on proposed date.
6. Entrance examination and entry into the exam hall
6.1 Entrance Examination will be held on date mentioned in the advertisement.
6.2 Examination will start at 11.30 am. The applicant shall be seated 30 minutes prior to the examination time. Candidates coming late by more than 30 minutes after the exam has started shall be denied entrance examination.
6.3 Entrance examination test should be of 2 hours duration.
6.4 The candidates must submit the OMR and Question Booklet to the invigilator.
6.5 Use of unfair means is strictly prohibited. Candidates caught using unfair means shall be declared ineligible for admission.
7. Entrance Examination
Candidate shall be tested for their subject knowledge, general knowledge, communication skill and general aptitude. Question paper shall consist of objective typeand multiple-choice questions. Graduate level questions for M. Sc. Ag. Degree Programmes and PG level for the Ph. D. programme as per concerning subject.
8. Admission Result
The name of successful candidate shall be displayed on the university notice board/university website: www.gramodayachitrakoot.ac.in.
9. Eligibility
9.1 Applicants who have appeared any final examination may also shall be given provisional admission. They shall however have to submit the relevantmark sheets and migration certificate from within 30 days of the declaration of entrance result.
9.2 The University shall have the right to refuse admission to any candidate.
9.3 The University shall deny admission to any student who had been convicted by a court of law for any cognizable offence or whose character has not been certified, or who had been punished for using unfair means in the examinations, or is/was accused of moral turpitude or is known to be potential trouble maker and bad character.
10. Enrolment / Registration
10.1 Online enrolment (once in a total duration) and Registration (in each semester) of a student in any study programme is compulsory and necessary for the award of diploma/degree and a part of the admission procedure governed by the admission rules. Each student shall enroll himself/herself at the time of first admission in the University by filling the enrolment form who shall be assigned an Enrolment No. This Enrolment number shall remain the same till the student continues his education in the University for any Study Programme.
10.2 Admission of new students failing to enroll in the prescribed manner on the appointed date is liable to be cancelled and the seats so fallen vacant shall be offered to the candidates in the waiting list;
10.3 In order to enroll himself as a student of the University, a candidate finally selected for admission to a particular course, at the time of admission has to:
(a) Pay all fees online as prescribed by the University;
(b) Submit transfer certificate and character certificate from the institution last attended;
(c) If enrolled earlier as a student of another University, submit migration certificate/eligibility certificate, as the case may be, from the University last attended along with all such documents as may be required for the purpose:
10.4 A candidate, who for any reason, cannot submit all or any documents required immediately may be admitted and registered provisionally on payment of necessary fees subject to giving an undertaking to submit necessary documents within two weeks failing which the admission shall be cancelled and all moneys paid by him/her shall be forfeited.
10.5 The documents and certificates required by the University and submitted by the student for admission and registration shall be the records of the University and shall not be returned, even temporarily, to the student concerned under any circumstance.
10.6 In case a candidate who is offered a seat in the University does not join by the last prescribed date his/her admission shall stand cancelled and the seat fallen vacant shall be offered to the person next on the Admission Waiting List.
10.7 Students freshly admitted, as well as continuing students, shall present themselves in the beginning of each Semester on/at the place and the dates notified by the Academic Committee for Counseling where they shall be assigned to Advisors/Course Instructors by the Dean/Director, concerned;
10.9 Every student shall have an Advisor to help the students in planning the programme of their studies who shall maintain a close contact with the students allotted to him/her and keep himself/herself informed of their progress.
11. Change of Field of Study
Based on the merit a student may be permitted to change his field of study after second Semester if he has passed all the subjects and seats are available in the desired field of study by the Vice Chancellor on the recommendation of both Head of Departments and Dean of the Faculties: provided he meets the qualification and admission requirement fixed by the University/MPESB Bhopal. This opportunity however, shall be limited to a maximum of 10% of the total admitted students in the course.
